Water was too polluted to drink during Tudor Medieval times so the English drank Ale

The Ale was brewed by the women in two strengths,one for adults and a weaker one for children

This model comprises 2 hogs head barrels on a worn wooden floor stand. The barrels are fitted with authentic wooden spouts and the flow is controlled by a tapered wooden peg.


Drip buckets hang from ropes to catch the overflow.
