Since water was too polluted to drink during these times the English drank a weak solution of Ale to quench their thirst. Enterprising peddlers would sell ale from their handcarts to buyers who would bring their jugs out into the street. 100% hand made by ourselves from selected timbers and aged using our own unique 4 stage technique replicating years of use
